I recently accepted a position as a freelance journalist for a local community newspaper and today I completed my first assignment. I was actually surprised how much I enjoyed it. I knew, of course, that I would enjoy the writing part. But I also absolutely loved asking questions, digging deeper, taking pictures - learning.
